Slovakia is one of the 25 countries making up the Schengen area, and thus accessible for most Schengen visa holders and residents of EU member states without an additional visa. Detailed information on visa requirements is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and from the visa department of your home country or Visa centers (online application form). On the website above, you will also find detailed instructions regarding the visa application process, should you require a visa to enter Slovakia.

If you require an invitation letter please contact secretariat@edpe.sk. Your email request should have the subject line "Visa letter" and contain your paper ID with the text and following information:
Surname:
Given names:
Title(s):
Nationality:
Country of residence:
Full name of organisation:
Position:
Full birth date:

Please note that an invitation letter is provided only after your paper has been accepted for presentation at the conference.

We suggest that you leave ample time for processing and mailing of the letter and the visa. However you should apply for visa not before 3 months prior to your arrival to Slovakia. Be advised that a letter of invitation is no guarantee for the approval of your visa.
